Diablo II is a action role-playing video game developed by Blizzard North and released in 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Mac OS X. Horror themed games and Dark fantasy. Designed by David Brevik and Erich Schaefer, who, along with Max Schaefer, are leading the project in the game. The producers are Matthew Householder and Bill Roper.
Based on the success of the previous game Diablo (1996), Diablo II was one of the most popular games in 2000. Key factors contributing to the success of Diablo II include continuing the popular fantasy themes from the previous game and accessing Blizzard’s Battle.net free streaming service. An expansion pack for Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, was released in 2001. The sequel, Diablo III, was published in 2008 and was released on May 15, 2012.
Diablo II (aka 暗黑破壞神 2, 暗黑破坏神II, D2) is a video game published in 2000 on Windows by Blizzard Entertainment Inc. It's a role-playing (rpg) game, set in a fantasy, real-time, action rpg and hack & slash themes, and was also released on Mac. My family found my original Diablo II CDs from 2000 in a box in a storage locker they were cleaning out. I installed, patched and played a little and then remembered how this expansion pack added so much to the game. I ordered it, installed it, went to blizzard site for the latest patch (1.14d) and it plays flawlessly on my Windows 7 system. Note: As a 32-bit application, Diablo II will not run on any systems running Mac® OS X 10.15 (Catalina) or later. Note: FileVault options and case-sensitive formatted volumes are not supported for installation of Blizzard. Also, the 'Lords of Destruction' expansion disk is included in the box, and it installs (under Win 7 again) very cleanly, after installing the 3-disk Diablo II base version. Another plus point is that, after installation, the game runs fully from the hard disk without the need for one of the Diablo II disks (typically Disk 2) in the DVD drive. There actually IS one. In the “System Requirements” section for Mac, the last item is “view details.” If you click on that link, it gives the complete system details for both PC and Mac, and states, specifically, ' Note: As a 32-bit application, Diablo II will not run on any systems running Mac® OS X.
